Enable SSH key authentication for the SFTP target system
SFTP transfers files via a secure, encrypted connection. You can optionally connect to your SFTP server using SSH key authentication. AP Essentials supports SSH keys in PEM format.
To enable SSH key authentication for the SFTP target system service:
- In the SFTP target system settings, specify the User name associated with the SSH key.
- Open the private SSH key file (in PEM format) in a text editor. Copy the contents of the file and paste it into the SSH private key setting.
- If the private key was generated using a passphrase , type it in the SSH passphrase setting.
- Select Test, to test the connection.
- After you successfully test your connection, select OK to save your settings.
