Barcodes

In most cases, fields on invoices are plain text, however, Kofax AP Essentials can also interpret barcodes. You handle barcodes like any other field. In AP Essentials Office, you can draw boxes around barcodes, and the interpreted value is displayed as human-readable text.

Barcodes can also be used for page separation.

Kofax AP Essentials can interpret these types of barcodes:

• Code 128
• EAN-8
• EAN-13
• Indian QR codes*
• Swiss QR codes*

* Unlike other barcodes, Kofax AP Essentials interprets several fields within Swiss QR codes and Indian QR codes.
