The Master data views

These views display master data you have imported.

To access these views in Admin Center: Expand an Explore node in the administration tree-view and click Master data. If you upload master data on the buyer level (Master data service view settings), the master data views only appear at the buyer level.

Since master data is customizable using generic master data objects, the names of the master data sets that appear can vary depending on your setup. Common master-data types include:

  • Suppliers - Displays supplier-master data that is used for invoice identification. Clicking a supplier displays a dialog that you can use to edit the supplier.

  • Customers - Displays customer master data that is used for purchase order identification. Clicking a customer displays a dialog that you can use to view the customer.
  • Currency - Specifies which currencies are allowed in the approval process.

    • If you do not use currency master data, all currencies are allowed.
    • If you use currency master data, only the currencies specified in the master data are allowed during the approval process. All other values produce a field error.

  • GL Accounts - Displays general-ledger accounts that you can use when coding an invoice.

  • Purchase orders - Displays purchase order master data. This view appears in the under the Explore node in the administration tree-view, but it is not nested in the Master data node.

  • [Generic objects] - Generic master data objects can be used to define custom master data not covered by the pre-defined types. For example, you can use generic master-data objects to specify which values appear for selection in coding field boxes.
