The New notification dialog

Use these settings to add a new notification in Control Center.

To access this view: Select the Services node in the administration tree-view and click Notifications > Add.

Use these settings to add a new notification:

Event Specifies the event that triggers the notification.
  • Batch received - ReadSoft Online successfully received a batch.
  • Batch rejected - a batch was rejected by a user.
  • Input failed - a batch or document was rejected by the system. This can be caused by a corrupt file for example.
  • Export failed - The export activity failed. This status is triggered, for example, if the target system does not respond. If this happens, you can open the batch in the document list view to see details about what went wrong. When the issue is resolved, simply click OK in the document view to send the batch again.
  • Pending manual verification - The batch was extracted and is ready for manual correction if necessary.
  • Request for information - Someone posted a question to the document.
  • Usage warning - the document volume is 80%, 90% or 100% of the maximum volume, or a demo/trial account has used 80%, 90% or 100% of the allotted time. The system checks the usage level every five hours. See also: Account usage.
  • Organization activated - an organization was activated.
  • Organization deactivated - an organization was deactivated.
Type The method used to deliver the notification.
  • HTTP - Posts the notification to a web page.
  • SMTP - Sends the notification via email.
Target type Determines whether you want to send the email to a specific Address or a Role, which can be linked to multiple email addresses in the system.

This setting is only visible when the Type is SMTP.

Email address The email address you want to send notifications to.

This setting is only visible when the Target type is Address.

Role The Role you want to send notifications to.

This setting is only visible when the Target type is Role.

Address A URL to a web page that is set up to receive notifications from the system.
Trigger Determines whether the usage warning is triggered by document volumes (Volume), account expiration (Time) or both (All). This setting is only visible when Usage warning is selected in the Event box.
Description Optional text to help you organize and keep track of notifications in the list. The Description only appears in the list of notifications. It does not appear in the notification itself.
